Nearly 185 million people are expected to tune-in to Super Bowl XLIX[1] (#49 in case you're not up on your Roman numerals) on February 1st. Whether you're planning to party in front of the tube all day — or just catch the best of those insanely expensive commercials between your regular weekend shenanigans — here's the rundown on all the apps and gadgets you'll need.
Super Streaming Sunday
If you're like me and tend to stream as much of the action on your smartphone or tablet as you do on your TV these days, you are in serious luck this year. For the first time ever, you can watch every stunning pass and brutal collision right from the NBC Live Sports Extra App[2] — from any computer, iOS, Android, or Windows mobile device. The best part? It's 100% free. You don't need a cable subscription like in years past. Oh, and it's not just the game that will be streamed — all the commercials and a whopping 11 hours of content both before the game and afterwards will ensure a day filled with Bowl best.
HDTV Super Sales
But if you prefer the big screen — and your puny little boob tube just isn't cutting it — you can score huge sales on some pretty awesome sets right about now. Walmart[3] has a bunch of special rollbacks on big beautiful TVs from Vizio and Samsung — two of the best in the business — and others. At Amazon, we're seeing nearly 50% off on brand new TVs up to 70 inches. That's a savings of around $1,000 on some of the biggest and best TVs to catch the big game.
Must-See Super Bowl TV
Whatever you decide to watch with, be sure to check out some of the best in "other" entertainment around the Super Bowl:
The 2015 Puppy Bowl XI[4] is back this year flanked by — get this — goat cheerleaders. This year's event airs on Animal Planet from 3-5 p.m. EST and pits team Fluff against Ruff. This is just so ridiculously cute. I can't even.
If it's the commercials you crave, head over to the Hulu AdZone[5] for leaked ads, teasers and 2015 commercials, as well as hundreds of memorable and historic ads from years past.
The fine folks at Bad Lip Reading[6] have returned with a ROFL 2015 NFL[7] mash-up. The popular YouTube series dubs ridiculous commentary into the mouths of unsuspecting players, ref's, coaches and even fans. I went from chuckle to full-on crack up at "old sheepdog named Paco Sinbad." Bring your Funyuns and get ready to howl.
Super Bowl Snack Hacks
Speaking of Funyuns[8], the topic of game day food is trending across search engines and social media. (Which is how I just found out that Americans will eat 1.25 billion chicken wings on Super Bowl Sunday. Whoa.) Here are some great resources for the best game day recipes, including everything that you can serve on a stick[9]:
Pinterest[10]. Type in "super bowl food" in the search bar and you'll be well on your way to winning your game day party.
The NFL Homegating[11] app has a countdown to kickoff and tons of in-app recipes to choose from.
SideChef[12] is another app that gives you step-by-step cooking instruction and has recipes from the world's top chefs, bloggers and foodies.
Depending on where you live, apps Drink Fly[13], Saucey[14], and Drizly[15] can deliver beer, wine, and spirits to your home in select areas across the country in less than an hour.

Best of Gameday Gadgets
You know what else can whip up the perfect drink? The Margaritaville Cargo Bali Frozen Concoction Maker[16]. This is the first fully automatic "shave, blend n' serve" machine, which means you just put in the ice, spirits, and mix. If you're more of the beer type the Draftmark Home Tap System[17] gives you draft beer on demand. It's like a mini keg that fits inside any standard home fridge and you can get a wide variety of beer barrels suit a variety of tastes.
When the fun is over and you want a number to show exactly how much fun you had, a palm-sized breathalyzer device like the Alcohoot[18] can help you monitor your blood alcohol level, graph your drinking over time, hail a taxi and share your activity on social media.

Overtime
We've had a huge round-up of tailgate tech[19] and gameday gadgets[20] over the last year that still contain some of the best I've Super Bowl tech ever reviewed including:
Belkin's WeMo Crock-Pot Slow Cooker[21], lets you change the cooking time, set a reminder, and check on your dish — all from your smartphone.
Crock-Pot's Hook Up Connectable Entertaining System[22], super easy way to create the perfect slow-cooked spread for any size soiree.
Remote Controlled Rolling Beverage Cooler[23], talk about personal delivery.
Bevometer[24], the little koozie that tally's up how many drinks you've had.
Sur La Table's Pizzeria Pronto[25], pizza oven that fits your backyard and your budget.
What's the one Super Bowl gadget you can't live without? Be sure to share in the comments section.
