A recent regulatory filing from AT&T offers insight on how the telecom giant will benefit from its acquisition of DirecTV. Let's look at the technology stocks to watch on Wednesday:

AT&T.[1] According to a report from AP[2], the telecommunications company says its $48.5 billion deal to snag DirecTV will help it afford to expand its high-speed broadband efforts. The company's regulatory filing says the deal will allow it to upgrade 2 million additional locations to fiber connections, which offer much faster broadband speeds. AT&T also says the deal would save it up to $1.6 billion a year.

Google.[3] The tech giant is pushing its Hangouts service to the enterprise space. The company announced a Hangouts button[4] that companies can install on apps to quickly launch video conferencing.

Pandora.[5] The Justice Department is reviewing licensing deals from firms ASCAP and BMI that could impact the streaming music service, reports CNBC[6]. According to Bloomberg[7], the guidelines examined by Justice involve royalties paid to songwriters.

Sony.[8] The electronics company unveiled its latest smartphone: the Xperia T3[9]. The device features a 5.3-inch screen and stainless steel frame. The smartphone launches globally next month.

Facebook.[10] The social network's photo sharing app Instagram announced creative tools that let users adjust elements such as brightness, contrast and warmth. The update is available now on Google Play and Apple's iTunes.
