Asus releases new tablets, ultrabook, netbook

Asus has just announced a parade of new mobile devices at IFA 2014[1] to accompany its competitively priced ZenWatch, which the company outed last week. The new mobile entries include a netbook, an ultrabook, and two tablets.
The new 13.3-inch Zenbook UX305 claims to be the world's slimmest ultrabook at just 0.48 inches thick. It sports the same metallic finish and dashing rounded curves as its predecessors, and chugs away on an Intel Core M multitasking processor. (In other words, it saves battery by dynamically assigning power as needed.)A 256GB solid-state drive and 3200 x 1800-pixel screen round out the features. Buyers will be able to choose from "Obsidian Stone" or "Ceramic Alloy" color schemes, but pricing and availability have not yet been announced.
As part of Microsoft's initiative to go head to head with low-priced Chromebooks, Asus also announced its new EeeBook X205 netbook. The device weighs less than 2.2 pounds and runs Windows 8.1 with Bing. The netbook targets students and low-maintenance users with its snappy restarts and quick web browsing. The EeeBook X205 will ship in white, gold, red, and black, but pricing and dates have not been announced.
An Android tablet joins the new bunch, as well. Asus calls the newcomer the ME572C MeMO Pad 7, and has outfitted it in the spirit of fashionable handbags and wallets.
The seven-inch Android device relies on an Intel Atom 64-bit quad-core processor, tips the scales at just a half pound, and has a full-HD display packing 323 ppi (pixels per inch). Once again, pricing and dates have not been announced, but prospective shoppers can look forward to some exciting, textured color schemes: burgundy, gold, or black. WiFi-only model and 4G LTE models will both be available.
Lastly, a German-exclusive tablet called the ProSieben Entertainment Padalso debuted. The 8-inch device focuses on value, and promises special offers and vouchers with purchase.
