The PlayStation 4 exclusive The Order: 1886 will make its debut on Sony's video game console in 2015, said the head of developer Ready at Dawn Studios.

In a blog post published Tuesday[1], Ready at Dawn CEO and Creative Director Ru Weerasuriya says The Order: 1886, originally slated to make its debut this year, will arrive next year to give developers more time to work on the game.

"As we look to bring this experience to the players, we have decided to spend some extra time to deliver on the promise we made when we first introduced the game," says Weerasuriya.

Set in Victorian-era London, the game is tied to King Arthur's Knights of the Round Table, as The Order serves as a modern version of the group assembled to maintain order and protect mankind. The Order uses sophisticated tech such as Arc Guns and Thermite Rifles, as well as the Blackwater, an element that grants Order members with "inhuman longevity as well as mental and physical abilities they can use in combat."

More details will likely be revealed during next month's Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles.
