The holidays may be the best time of year to get a bargain. But instead of constantly checking on the newest must-have pair of shoes you just found to see whether they've gone on sale, these apps will do the work for you.

· PoachIt: This is a button you install on your bookmarks bar. Anytime you're on a product page online, click the PoachIt button and it will tell you whether there's any coupon codes associated with the item or track it and send you an e-mail when it goes on sale.

· Favado: Whether you need to stock up for holiday entertaining or just want to save on groceries year-round (who doesn't?), Favado lets you compare prices on goods across grocery stores to see who's selling something at the cheapest price. It also tells you if there are any coupons available.

· RedLaser: This app lets you scan barcodes while you're shopping and will tell you if the product is cheaper somewhere else. It also alerts you to nearby deals and saves a list of your favorite products and deals.
