Jax Bank, Body Central see shares jump Wednesday VIDEO

A few Jacksonville publicly traded companies saw their shares rise significantly Wednesday.
I didn’t get to it yesterday, so here is a quick update for you on how Jacksonville’s publicly traded companies fared Wednesday: Jacksonville Bancorp Inc. and Body Central Corp.[6] both saw their stocks jump, while most others were either slightly up or slightly down.
Jacksonville Bancorp (Nasdaq: JAXB), the holding company for The Jacksonville Bank, saw its shares peak out at $2.30 Wednesday, but closed at $2.19 — an increase of 14.6 percent from its opening price. The last month and a half has been a wild ride for Jax Bank, as its shares have gone from a low of 81 cents into the $3 range. Read more on why that has happened here[7].
Body Central (Nasdaq: BODY) on the other hand saw its shares pop more than 5 percent for the day, closing out at $8.31, after releasing news that it had hired a new CEO[8] after more than six months of searching. Former CEO [9]Allen Weinstein[10] resigned in August 2012.
The big loser of the day: ParkerVision Inc.[11] (Nasdaq: PRKR). The Jacksonville-based technology company saw its shares fall more than 4 percent for the day.
