Hawaii's American Savings Bank recognized for fraud prevention

American Savings Bank[3] has been awarded a Visa[4] Quality Performance Award, recognizing the bank's practices in preventing fraud on consumer and small business debit card accounts.
ASB was the only Hawaii bank to receive the "highest chargeback effective rate for fraud" reason codes, according to a release.
"The security of our customers' personal information and their transactions are very important to all of us at ASB. This award reflects our commitment to monitor and protect their information and transactions," Rick Robel[5], executive vice president, of operations and technology at American Savings Bank, said in a statement.
The Visa Quality Performance Awards recognize select banks across the globe that meet Visa's commitment to best-in-class operations.
