The Grand Ballroom at The Pfister Hotel was packed Friday morning for The Business Journal's Power Breakfast featuring Racine business executive Helen Johnson-Leipold[6].

In a rare public speech, Johnson-Leipold , chairwoman of Johnson Financial Group, talked openly about her family's decision to invest $235 million in the bank in 2012. She also talked about the bank's plans to grow its Milwaukee market share.[7]

Leipold-Johnson is also chairwoman and chief executive officer of Johnson Outdoors. She talked about how the company struggled during the recession, but made changes to its operations to ensure its long-term financial success.

In all, more than 450 Milwaukee-area business executives attended the event. The crowd included Julia Taylor[8], president of the Greater Milwaukee Committee; Linda Benfield[9],managing partner of the Milwaukee office of Foley & Lardner LLP; Jerry Janzer[10], CEO of Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren SC; Joe Sweeney[11], managing director of Corporate Financial Advisors; and Roger Pillsbury, vice chairman of The Private Bank-Wisconsin.

Check out the attached slideshow to see photos from the event.
